Blog Tour Interview

1. What am I working on?

Right now, I’m working alongside the amazingly creative Barking Rain Press team in bringing ‘Padre: The Narrowing Path’, to readers all over the world.

Next up, I’m hoping to delve into the world of neo-noir. This is a very foreign world to me, literary-wise, so it will be a good writing challenge.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
My current work is literary, but is strongly pervaded by Catholicism, so I would say it intersects a purely Catholic genre with literary fiction. Even my works that appear to be non-Catholic are infused (sometimes subconsciously) with a Catholic world view.

3. Why do I write what I do?
I write what I do because the world is a complicated place and I hope to reconcile myself to these complexities through my writing, so it’s actually both a vehicle for how I perceive the world and for making sense of it, in my own mind and heart.

4. How does my writing process work?
My writing process begins like an itch inside my brain. Upon scratching this itch, which is actually an idea for a book or short story and I start writing immediately. There is no outline. There is only a rough draft, unraveling impromptu over days, weeks or months.

A gracious thanks goes to David Coles for instigating my presence on this blog tour. Please patronize his work frequently at:
